Public Notices from Members

In line with the Credit Bureaus Code of Conduct, members have commenced placing notices in the local papers to inform the public and their clients that have historical defaults, and any future non-payment, that those debts and arrears will be listed on the Credit Bureau.

The Credit Bureau is also establishing dual listings with Credit Bureaus overseas which will enable a persons credit history to follow them to other countries.

For local businesses intending to join the Credit Bureau, public notices are required by the business to ensure their clients with historical defaults are given due notice of the businesses policy, and have an opportunity to clear their default in full or make an arrangement to commence payments before being listed on the Credit Bureau.
